Swansea University plans to build an additional 538 en-suite student rooms at the new £450m Bay Campus site as the next phase of student accommodation starting in January 2016 in time for occupation in September 2017. The Bay Campus provides academic, student accommodation and research space and has the distinction of being one of the few global university campuses with direct access onto a beach and its own seafront promenade.
Swansea is located about an hour and a half West of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. The campus is just one mile from the city center and transport links to places like London three hours direct. Hailed as the friendliest city in Wales it also offers lower living costs than most of the UK.
